NANC is established in 2005. It is a social network for all alumni of Chinese, Dutch or other nationalities who studied or were engaged in academic research in the Netherlands and now live in China (and those who are currently studying in the Netherlands are also welcome to join this network as 'pre-alumni'). NANC is sponsored by many Dutch higher education institutions and Dutch or international companies in China. NANC also closely cooperates with the Embassy and Consulates General of Kingdom of the Netherlands in China, the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China (BenCham), the Netherlands Business Support Offices (NBSO), and the Netherlands board of Tourism and Conventions (NBTC).
With the strong support of the above mentioned organizations, and operating on a non-profit and partnership basis, NANC functions as a networking organization to provide a platform for all alumni to improve the communication between alumni and their host institutions; to serve as a matchmaker and to facilitate the business community for talent recruitment among the highly trained and professional alumni; and to connect alumni with other networks that will enable them to enhance their professional and personal development.
The network aims to serve as a platform to empower the alumni by promoting their social and professional interests and to connect them to other relevant networks, thereby ultimately improving Sino-Dutch relations. NANC is a home for everyone who shares the emotional attachment to the Netherlands. "Join us! Join in the Holland Alumni Family!”
Since the establishment in 2005, this network is increasingly recognized by universities, students, governmental institutions and other (educational) organizations. Alumni are the important “public ambassadors” and play a very positive role in the promotion of Dutch higher education and Sino-Dutch relations. The establishment of this network also contributes to Sino-Dutch relations in general and to alumni's educational or expertise-related areas in particular. It also supports the development of strong sustainable individual Dutch university alumni chapters across China.
Your contribution, input, ideas and cooperation for the upcoming activities of NANC are highly appreciated, as NANC is there for you!
